How to play Twenty Nine
The 29 card game 29 is played with a deck of 32 cards that has cards from 7 to Ace in order. The first team to score 6 points wins. Cards are ranked from highest to lowest, with Jack at the top and 9, Ace, 10, King, Queen, 8, and 7 below it.
To Bid and Trump
After each player is dealt four cards, bidding begins. The lowest bid is 15, and each player has the opportunity to either raise the bid or pass.
The person who bids the most money gets the Trump suit, which was a secret at first. Anyone who picks the trump gets four more cards, making their full hand of eight.
The trump suit is only shown during the game when a player can't follow the lead suit. After that, trump cards can beat cards of other types. Every player must try to follow the suit led, if possible.
Scoring and Winning
Points are awarded based on specific cards:
Each round has 29 points, with an extra point given to the team that takes the last trick. To earn one game point, the team that bids must win at least their bid; otherwise, they lose one point.
The other team tries to stop the win but doesn't score. The winner is the first team to get 6 points, and if you drop to -6, you lose.
Special Features
With optional features like the Royal Pair, players can change their bid by 4 points after the trump is shown. You can also use the Seventh Card rule or Double/Redouble to take on more risk and win more.
